Children’s carpentry workshop at Gamle Bergen

26 June to 16 August

CHILDREN´S MUSEUM

Bring the children to a hands-on carpentry workshop this summer! Every day children can make their own toy or tool using hammer, nails and wood. A fun, creative activity set in a unique historic environment. Free for children up to 18 years.

Join our carpentry workshop at Old Bergen Museum this summer, every day from Friday 26 June to Sunday 16 August.

At Njørdsbod, children can try their hand at traditional woodworking. Using real hammers, nails and wood, each child can make their own toy or simple wooden tool to take home.

The workshop is suitable for children accompanied by an adult and offers a great opportunity to experience the joy of making something with your own hands – surrounded by the historic buildings and streets of Gamle Bergen Museum.

While you’re visiting, you can also experience a living open-air museum with historic houses, museum actors in costume, and families who “live” in different periods of Bergen’s history.

Meet merchants, servants and civil servants, play with traditional old-fashioned toys in the Market Square, and enjoy a day filled with history, craftsmanship and family-friendly experiences.

Welcome to Gamle Bergen Museum!
