BRYGGENS MUSEUM

Welcome to childrens wool workshop!

CHILDREN´S MUSEUM
FAMILIEARRANGEMENT

Step into the magical world of textiles!

Here, kids and grown-ups can discover how wool becomes yarn, how to set up a loom, and how colors and patterns can tell a story.

In the workshop, you can try:

• Carding – brushing the wool so it’s ready for spinning
• Spinning – twisting wool into yarn
• Weaving – making small rugs on simple looms

You can also color your own versions of the beautiful Åsmund Frægdagjeva tapestries from the exhibition – or create your very own story with colors and patterns!

The workshop is for all ages and takes place in a calm, creative space. No experience needed – just bring your curiosity and imagination!

The exhibition is open too, where you can listen to fairy tales based on medieval ballads while admiring the stunning tapestries by Ragna Breivik. Here you can read more about the exhition Tales in thread.
